Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light. Plenty of filtered light will help maintain its beautiful variegation. Avoid harsh afternoon sun.

Water

Keep the soil evenly moist, allowing the top 2–3cm to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during the cooler months.

Humidity

Loves high humidity. A humidifier or grouping with other plants will help it thrive, especially during winter.

Temperature

Prefers warm temperatures between 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.

Feeding

Feed every 4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser to support healthy foliage growth.

Top Tips

• Use a chunky, well-draining aroid potting mix.
• Avoid overwatering, as Alocasias are prone to root rot.
• Wipe leaves regularly to keep them dust-free and looking their best.
• It's normal for older leaves to yellow as new ones emerge.
• Repot every 1–2 years, or when roots begin to outgrow the pot.
• Watch for spider mites and thrips.
