Rainbow Florals at Dublin Bay: Celebrating Kalia & Josh's Wedding Day

Dublin Bay is more than just the location Kalia and Josh chose to say their vows for their wedding. It is the place where Kalia calls home, the land where she grew up, so choosing it as the place to say "I do" was always going to be a natural fit. No words were needed to explain the vibe. The Pinterest board said it all. An explosion of colour and a feast for the eyes.

From the moment we saw the brief, we knew this wedding would be a natural fit for The Green Room Flower Co. It ticked all the boxes: our love for colour, an abundance of florals and, most importantly, creative trust. The ideas flowed naturally and collaboratively.

We started with a ceremony design that embraced an array of colours and set the tone for the day, the wedding guests' first touchpoint for what was to come. A cascading element was created to accompany the cocktail bar, which was naturally a vintage truck (how good!) and the wedding reception was where the party would start, so our floral experts created colour-blocked installations suspended above the dance floor, acting as floral clouds or rather flower disco balls.

What is not to love!

It was important to create a floral feeling that matched Kalia and Josh's energy, which could only be described as fun and loving.

Their wedding day started early with a gorgeous sunrise setting the tone, rays of light peeking through a rainbow of blooms. We all stopped to take in the moment at this breathtaking autumn scene.

A split wedding arch with grounded florals was created to surround them at the altar, vivid pinks and purple tones with pops of orange and yellow, a contrast to the lake and land surrounding them. You don’t often get to see the bride enter the reception, but we caught a glimpse of Kaila and her wedding party and they couldn’t have looked more divine.

As the sun set, they got ready to walk into a Truly Yours Marquee filled with people there to celebrate their love. You could feel the excitement in the air. It felt like a full-circle moment. From sunrise to sunset, we were there creating floral moments for their incredible celebration of love.
