Sarah and Fergal chose the stunning landscape of the NZ High Country venue, which overlooks Queenstown. Their timeless styled wedding is something dreams are made of! From timeless rose and orchid arrangements and a soft green bridesmaid dresses, to fun pops of pinks and orange signage and an even bigger POP on the mountain!
We asked Sarah why she chose to get married in central Otago; "Queenstown holds a special place in our hearts as it was somewhere we used to holiday regularly during the early days of our relationship. Whether alone or with friends we would make the 6-hour drive down on a Friday night and return on a Sunday." She tells us.
"Queenstown is equally as stunning in the summer as it is in the winter, so it was an easy choice for bringing over our international friends and families, with the sole goal of letting them experience something that was quintessentially Kiwi."
Sarah's floral choice encompassed a modern twist on a classic white wedding, using roses and orchids within her own bouquet, and choosing single variety rose bouquets for her beautiful bridesmaids.
When we asked Sarah to name some of her favourite details and vendors, she ecstatically told us that "By far my favourite part of the day was turning up to our ceremony and being told that the wet weather plan we had decided on the day before had been flipped on its head minutes before the ceremony because the storm never came and that we were actually getting married outside. A special shoutout needs to go our vendors and guests (!) that worked together to make that happen 10 minutes before the ceremony."
"Mike from NZ high country, The man, the myth, the legend. If you know, you KNOW. For providing the most amazing location but also for the 101 things that he did for us across the span of the 3 years we tried to get this thing over the line.
Alexandra Kate, for working so hard to get us a completely new ceremony plan the night before the wedding once we knew the weather was going to be awful, only to turn all this hard work on its head and revert everything back to an outside ceremony moments before the wedding.
Charlotte Winkle, for creating such a wonderful ceremony with so many special intimate moments.
Kate Roberg, for capturing the most special moments in such a cool, calm and fun manner. We'll share a bottle of champagne whilst dancing on top of a mountain with you any day!
Brendon and Jo (Chef Brendon), for the tastiest food and the most attentive service (we had so many comments!)
And finally, our Green room girls, I don't know where to start, I'm still obsessed with my bouquet! Not to mention the arch florals that you repurposed and the single bud vases on our dining tables, that all came together to create the romantic, modern, clean feeling that was exactly what I envisioned. Thank you for working so hard to make my dream come to life."
